The Pagoda Pavilion
Asian-fusion resort pool visualisation
The brief
Visualise a resort clubhouse pool area for Visarch Architects before it is built, so the design could be understood and approved.
The challenge
The design blends Chinese and Japanese elements — a pagoda-style gazebo, a torii gate and a cabana lounge deck — around water. Getting the materials, reflections and lighting right was essential for it to feel calm and believable rather than theme-park.
The approach
We modelled the full pool area in 3ds Max and rendered it with V-Ray in three key views — an aerial overview, the lounge deck at night, and the pagoda gazebo.
For each view we also produced a hand-drawn sketch version and an annotated specification board calling out materials, planting and details, so the presentation tells the story from concept sketch to finished render.
What we delivered
- Photorealistic renders of three views, including a night scene
- Matching sketch versions
- Annotated specification boards
- An 11-image presentation sequence
The outcome
The renders, sketches and specification boards were delivered to Visarch Architects. One of our earlier projects, it remains a favourite example of how we combine architecture, landscape and lighting.
